two Ambassador Hotel rooms side by side.
The Hotel opened on January 1, 1921 and was owned by the Schine Family until the 1970s. There were once 500 rooms throughout the hotel. The hotel’s planned purpose was as an all-inclusive winter vacation resort for East and Midwest families eager for the temperate Southern California climate. In the 1920's the hotel rate for staying in either of these rooms would have been $15 a night.
