What are people saying about this project?
"Thank you for preserving the legacy of the beautiful historic Art Deco Ambassador hotel. I'm so glad that it's stories will live on." -Andrea Weaver
"This project is so important. I'm in front of my computer gasping and in tears. Thank you. We won't forget. Never forget. Your generation is birthed in tears of the past but imbued with the grateful spirit of those who went before to make a better world! Thank you for taking up the simple task of remembering in joy, not in grief - this is how humanity moves forward and increases peace. " -Mimi Kennedy
"I think the 9th Grade Geographers have done an outstanding job celebrating the Ambassador Hotel's importance to Los Angeles history, and blended that with what the key areas of the property now represent, or the few parts of the building that were saved, how they have been incorporated into the community school of today. I would love to be invited to the school to test out the QReader with my iPhone...Special thanks to Felicia Perez for leading the project and for sharing your entertaining and educational tribute to this very special property." -Max Pierce

"High school students were awarded Tuesday for their work for delving into the history of the Ambassador Hotel—the site of the Robert F. Kennedy Schools in Los Angeles. Local costumer, photographer and historian Tess Inman was also honored as well as the late Margaret Burk, who was a longtime publicist for the hotel who wrote a book about its history. Burk's son, Tray and his wife Marie as well as Burk's granddaughter Alicia Garcia attended the presentation. 'On behalf of the family, we are delighted with the way Margaret was able to contribute to the history of this place,' said Burk's son, who presented an actual early key that was used in the hotel."
